Short Description
Beautiful, newly renovated one bedroom apartment tastefully furnished with every amenity and located in the Old West, bordering on the Jordaan. It is close to Museumplein and Vondel Park and a 10 or 15 minute walk to Dam Square, and LeidsepleinIt's a four-story building with only one apartment per floor. There is sun in every room.
Neighbourhood/Location
Oud-West abounds with cafes, restaurants, boutique and shops of every description.It's a real neighborhood with a supermarket, laundry, drug store, and every other small retail shop you could want.
If you're from New York, as we are, it will remind you of Greenwich Village in the old days.
There are several tram stops within steps. #17 goes to Centraal Station; #3 and #12 go to Museumplein and Vondel Park, and Concertgebrow. Nothing is more than a 15-minute (nice) walk or a 10-minute equally pleasant tram ride.
The Ten Katestraat market is a few blocks away where you can get fresh fruits, vegetables, cheeses, etc.
The Nordemarket (the biological and antique market) is a ten-minute walk-open on Saturday and Monday.
Living room
The living room is spacious and sunny with two big, double glazed windows looking out onto the street. Lovely art work adorns the walls and there is a small rolling bar and seating for four people at the dining table in the corner.There is a small room off the living room with sliding doors for privacy which is set up as an office with acomfortable futon, CD player, laptop computer, printer/copier, desk and bookcases.

Queen size bed. two large closets, dresser, comfortable chair, flat screen cable TV and DVD player. There is also a portable travel crib.Door leads out onto the terrace, which has a small table and two chairs for morning coffee or dinner for two..
There is a beautiful large shower, and a separate toilet.
Kitchen
The kitchen is brand new with recessed ceiling and under counter lights and is equipped with ample cooking equipment, utensils, dishes, etc. together with washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, and lovely original glass-windowed cupboard for dishes.Door to terrace where there is a small bistro table, and two chairs.
Other information
This is a very comfortable and attractive apartment. We have a nice collection of CDs, DVDs, guidebooks, maps, etc. but perhaps best of all, our good friends, Vito Beliz and Sylvia Evers, who live nearby, renovated and manage this apartment. They will meet you, give you the keys, and will tell you, if you ask, which restaurants and other places they like. If anything goes wrong-which we don't anticipate -- they're a phone call away. The tram system is a great, and fast way to get around the city.To book this property you make an online payment. The payment amount is shown in the price calculation box and on the booking form. The remaining balance is to be paid directly to owner.(some owners require a percentage in advance). The credit card transaction will be completed using a secure credit card processing system. Where and how do I get the keys to the property?
Your confirmation mail will include the telephone number to contact the greeter/owner upon arrival at the airport or train station. You can arrange a time to meet the contact person at the property to make payment and get the keys

Can I check in early or where can I leave my luggage until check in time?
Early check in is only possible if the property is not booked the night before you arrive. You can arrange this with the owner 24-48 hours before your arrival.

In addition to the 15% prepayment to secure the reservation,the property owner requires an additional 35% of the balance due which is paid to them directly immediately after booking.

We do ask for at least a 25% deposit when you book the apartment and the balance about a month before you arrive. We take Paypal, personal checks, and Bank transfers. There is also E40 cleaning fee, and an additional E10 per night for a third person.
