Short Description
For a relaxing holiday with a difference, stay aboard this wonderful houseboat, just off the beaten path and fifteen minutes from Central Station.You share the 65m2 space with your super-relaxed hostess Sietske, but have your own key, free to come and go as you please, have a drink around the kitchen table in front of the homely fire, or breakfast in the sunny garden; living like a real Amsterdammer.
A private double room with washbasin and toilet and comfortable double bed sleeps two guests, sharing the shower room, living room and kitchen with Sietske, and an additional two guests can be accommodated on the double bed in the living room.
Your booking includes bed linen, towels, coffee and tea making facilities, use of the kitchen, Wi-Fi, firewood and a city map.
Bikes are for rent at € 8.50 per 24 hours and for an additional € 9.50 per person, Sietske will rustle up a tasty breakfast of Dutch eggs with bacon and cheese, orange juice, coffee, tea, jam and the real Dutch bread.
You may meet Boobie, the affectionate outdoor cat, occasionally in residence, but note that there is no litter box on board.
Neighbourhood/Location
The houseboat is located on a green street with a village like atmosphere. Everybody helps each other and all with the Amsterdam attitude of live and let live.At the end of the street you will find a very nice beach bar which is open 7 days a week for tasty typical Dutch bitter-balls, beers and beverages.
All in walking distance are the following places:
- City Sky Bar
- The famous flea market 'Waterlooplein'
- The Red Light District
- Various Museums
- One of the oldest squares in the city the 'Nieuwmarkt' where you can eat the best 'Cheese Fondue' ever.

Snug homely living room, furnished with comfy couches and a cosy wood-burning stove, lovely to sit around on a winter evening.Please note that the central heating is a wood burner, there are additional electric heaters.
Bedroom(s) and Bathroom(s)
The bedroom has a double bed accessed by a short stair ladder, a washbasin and toilet.An additional two guests can be accommodated on the sofa bed in the living room.
At night it is very quiet and you will feel the slow rocking of the boat and the sound of water. It is an amazing experience!
The shower is small but bright and nicely tiled.

If you come by car there is a Park and Ride very close by, 7 minutes by tram. The name is 'Zeeburg'. Please contact me for further details.To book this property you make an online payment. Where and how do I get the keys to the property?
Your confirmation mail will include the telephone number to contact the greeter/owner upon arrival at the airport or train station. You can arrange a time to meet the contact person at the property to make payment and get the keys

Can I check in early or where can I leave my luggage until check in time?
Early check in is only possible if the property is not booked the night before you arrive. You can arrange this with the owner 24-48 hours before your arrival.
